Deadline for nominations has been extended to December 31, 2017

Dear Fellow NASW-WA Members,

We have good news – it’s not too late to participate and contribute to the association that leads our discipline on all fronts!  We all care deeply about the social and political landscape of the day – the issues, political agendas, the course of social work and the impact the world has upon all of us.  But, equally important, the impact WE are able to have upon the world. After all, isn’t that why we chose this noble profession.  The NASW works to enhance the professional growth and development of its members, to create and maintain professional standards, and advance sound social policies.

We invite you to be a part of an important team of leaders for NASW – Washington Chapter.  As a member of this team your goal would be to unify and strengthen the social work profession and in doing so, we move forward in meeting the needs of others!

The deadline for nominations has been extended to December 31.  We understand how busy life is with careers, family, good self-care.  We are not expecting anyone to compromise on any of these priorities!  To participate with the Washington Chapter of the NASW, does not require a taxing burden of time and energy – it does require a commitment to maintaining and contributing to the energy and high standards of our profession.

If you are wondering what you can do be on the cutting edge of progress in all we believe in, then please consider joining the team of NASW-WA Leadership!  The following NASW – Washington Chapter leadership positions are available:

President Elect

MSW Student Rep

BSW Student Rep

1 Eastern Region Rep

1 Western Region Rep

More information on these positions is available here:   NASW 2017 Positions available or in the attachment.  Also in the attachment is the nomination form.

If you are interested or know of someone who would be a great nominee we would like to hear from you.  We have attached positions available and  job descriptions for review.  Remember, the deadline for nominations has been extended to December 31 – please don’t put this off!

The Washington chapter’s message is that social work matters and social workers inspire hope.  I look forward to you being a part of this hope.
